Verified ReviewerNuisance calls
Still no change, still getting more or less daily harassment from Beneficial phone calls from all around the UK, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, you name it; that's despite my telling them about this review and despite promises of various workers that my number will be taken off the database. Callers are ALWAYS foreign with broken English and plough on regardless even when you have already said you are not interested. What do you suggest?
Despite informing the caller about having posted this negative review online (and having been assured by a male caller from the company that my number has been removed from the database), I am still receiving daily calls from "Beneficial" - it's usually a woman with broken English calling herself "May" or "Mia"... the calls are always from different numbers and different locations all over the UK.
I've tried reasoning with them, shouting, hanging up, mentioning I'm on the Telephone Preference Service - all to no avail.
Their usual strategy when they realise they are on a highway to nothing as far as my co-operation with their questions is to hang up. Strangely, there is always a kind of 'crack' or pop before the person begins speaking, which has led me to wonder if there is a pre-recorded element here...
I am getting calls at all hours of the day, virtually every day, from foreign workers, mostly female, with very broken English they can barely read off the spiel they are given, trying to make me take Beneficial surveys regarding my finances. They invariably refuse to take no for an answer or to take me off their database.
I have literally spent hours, if not DAYS when added up, on the phone to them saying not interested, please take me off your database, all to no avail. On the one occasion I did agree to answer questions, there was no let-up, it just led to another tier of questions, and I was told unless I agreed to answer I would continue receiving these calls - which is what is happening!
